The Alpha 280e (Lpg) combination boilers and water heaters use a rubber diaphragm to trigger the domestic hot water by diverting the primary water circuit to the plate heat exchanger. This gives hot water to the taps or perhaps shower. One side of the diaphragm is subject to indirect heat via the hot water in the primary circuit flowing through the hydraulic set up. This design is common in combination boilers and other water heating system appliances. If the diaphragm has failed the boiler will not switch easily between providing water to the hot taps and providing central heating. In this situation it'll need changing. Many heating engineers will recommend changing the complete hydraulic assembly. This is not necessary as the boiler manufacturer generally provide you with the specific part and the unit will function correctly after the diaphragm is replaced., Alpha Diaphragms Are Available Next Day
